Tom, could you please comment on the warranty conditions if we buy from another user like this? It looks like it's completely new and untouched...

From your website:

I realize that you support everyone via the forums at no charge, but do you support hardware upgrades for transferred ECU+ units? Just curious.

The picture indicates a s/w version of 4/5/2005, and the latest software is from 12/x/05 the last time I checked. I assume that since this is in a silver box, the hardware is the latest version...

Yea, I'd support this just like one you'd buy from Mach V. I'm sure other folks will tell you that I'm pretty good about supporting even really old hardware. The one for sale here is the current hardware. Software wise, I think there was one firmware update (e-mail me) and two software updates (just download it) since this was purchased.

I PM'd about it last week to buy it, and he told me that it was sold already. Sorry, but contact Dan at Mach V and he'll hook you up. Get the ECU harness from FasterThanThem and you'll save yourself $50 instead of buying the PnP version.

Just to follow up on this...

First of all, we sell ECU patch harnesses, too, here and here. (We even offer a nice color-coded one for $10 more that makes your wiring job much, much easier.) No need to order from multiple places to get your parts together.

Secondly, at $149 for the harness, you're at $149 + $579 for the non-plug-and-play ECU+ = $724, which is $25 MORE than the plug-and-play ECU+ by itself. So...I don't see where your money savings is coming from.

Oh, and even IF you could save $50 by wiring it yourself? To me, even a $50 savings would not be worth the trouble, the time, and the frustration...

That is true! Thanks for the mention.

For me, $50 saved is $50 I can spend on other stuff. I have no problem spending 1 hour to do the patching myself... so it's totally worth it for something as easy as this. If you don't want to, then for sure getting the PnP version is the way to go!

EDIT -- Dan is now right -- you should just buy the PnP version. The site I bought my harnesses from raised the price to $150, so now it just doesn't make sense to do it yourself.
