Help! Advice for flash.

I have read every post possible and cannot as yet decide which flash to go with. I have used one of them, but I wasn't too impressed. My horsepower went up only 4! The explanation that followed was that I already had a hot motor and instead of gaining horsepower I gained smoothness. $500 worth!
So, can anyone make a recommendation? I was thinking about using works. Anything bad or good would be helpful. I am going to go the mail in route. No other mods at this time.
Thanks.

to only extract 4 ponies from a 9 is UNACCEPTABLE.

Shoot, the mail in flashes guarantee 20/20 to the wheels improvement.

I got a reflash from turbo trix last week and made 40 whp and 50lbs of torque...best 300 buck i ever spent...but if your car is a IX it will cost 600...You should also talk to Al from dynoflash, i here he makes good numbers too...

I wouldn't talk to anybody at Dynoflash. That is of course you can get through on the guy's freaking cell phone!!! (the only number listed on their site) He never answers it anyway. Oh yeah, and forget that 2 day turn around... try a freaking week!!! No communication at all, I wouldn't care if he got me 100 hp, by the sixth day without hearing from him I just wanted my ecu back before he sold it on eBay!!! GO WITH ANYBODY ELSE!

Well tell us who your flash is from.
Any of the mentioned tuners Dynoflash/TTR/Sean Ivy. They all do ecutec flashes with the ix's and putting out some great numbers from just a flash. Do a search on the listed vendors and make your own decision from what you read.

Well my flash was done by one of those you listed. I have read negatives about several of the vendors, but none about works. I am going to use them once they come out with their flash for the IX.

I would call up the vendor who did the flash and ask them why only 4 hp? Seems really odd that any of the listed tuners would not re-tune it for free, I would but I am not a tuner. To me it is worth a phone call!

I was custom tuned by Al from Dynoflash and I was really impressed as to how silly my Evo9 got with just a flash. If I decide to do any more mods, I'm going right back to him.

i went dynoflash, car feels a little more sluggish in the low rpms 2-3k but once the boost hits it pulls harder. this is just butt dyno of course. my flash came in promptly, three days just as advertised and boost only tapers to 19 im pretty happy with it so far

There are a few people in this area that are very happy with their flash from Turbo Trix.
