How do the 4 Seasons affect tuning???
I was just wondering about how the 4 seasons and the types of weather that they bring affect the tuning of our cars. For example, I would assume that the tuning that's done in the winter would be different than that done in the summer........ Air density, amongst other variables.
That said, when would be the best time to tune to get the best all year round performance?
Anyone care to chime in?

don't call me a tuner, but, there is an air temp correction so that once you tune the car it will correct itself for another temp.
iow, tune once, assuming your air temp correction is correct. of course if it is not correct that is what you correct.

That is correct...this is one of the reasons for an intake air temp sensor.
also keep in mind that when the weather gets colder you guys may see some additional boost due to increased air density.

While AFR will remain constant with changing atmospheric conditions, I find the amount of timing I can run goes up in colder weather. The IC gets the outlet temps cooler with cooler ambient temps naturally, allowing a little more timing to safely be run. Since I've always run boost controllers from a manifold source, my boost has never changed with temperature however. Airflow at the same boost does go up though naturally as a result of the increased density. A couple lbs/min is typical.
for me i had to adjust my A/F once in the winter...not much like 1% on my AFC..... but Boost i have to just that everyday...... the days when it is like 60 out then 30 at night .... there will be a 3psi difference

i had my car flashed in the spring at 24psi, and in the winter it overboosts like crazy..now, i got some new parts since the tune (manifold, o2 housing, and 10.5 hotside) so im wondering if they are the complete cause. I dunno, ive been hitting 27.5 psi !
