Never AGAIN

Never Again…. My aem craped out on me for the last time. I going back to the stock ECU and Piggy back, now I’m not sure what to do. My Car is set up for SD so that only leaves me with the MAFTPRO, are there any other Piggyback setups that can work MAF Less?

I figure if I have to I can go buy all new parts and go with the UTEC,

I’m wiling to take any suggestions.

It sounds like the next revision of the UTEC will have the option of maf-less.

isn;t HKS a full stand alone??

I'd go w/ turbo xs w/ the maf now and wait till the new version is released best bet and product imo

HKS is a full standalone..I am wondering how they are doing that lol. If you buy the HKS VPRO is the software proprietary or does it come with software, I was told software is additional 2000 dollars

i looked into the v-pro and it's only licensed to certified tuners. the general public doesn't have access to it.

what problems r u having with the aem ems ?
the only problem i have is the cold start, other than that it is a really a good ecu
knowing how to tune and use the aem software is really the key with the aem ems

My box has phisically craped out twice. about 5 months ago it crashed for the first time leaving me stranded 3 hours from home waiting for a tow truck. and then yesterday i was on my way into work when the car just shut off i plugges in my laptop only to find the box was dead again, but this time i had my stock ecu in my trunk incase it ever happened again. i'll be driving upto the AEM office on Friday so they can open it up and diagnose it, except this time i'll just be selling it.

the problem was actually with the hardware inside the box, it was replaced once already and it worked fine then it crapped out again. My car was tunned at Tunning Technologies

V1.19 is absolute garbage. We are ending up going back to older firmware updates and using more bug-free software.

I would go MaftPro for sure, the newest firmware is awesome. Built in meth injection compatibility and safeguards, stock knock control and driveability, no maf. It is the best of both worlds but no MAF to hold you back. I intend on keeping this MAFTPro with us for a while. More power and faster times than many on upgraded turbos and AEM.
