well...just got back from etown and no 10 second passes from the PD car.....

i think they ran mid 11's once...but that was about it.....after two passes the car was on the trailor......

Was that the big suprise that everyone was talking about?

i thought this car was easily 10's???well it should be..let me drive em ill get you in the10's..with a 35R AND stroker you should be 10's!AMS can do it..dan had gt35r,stroker,and aem and made a 10.2 pass

Hey bud, If you want to start a storm let me know.
The car DID NOT do as we expected this time out.
Launch on the first run was bogged and ran into a 2.1 60.
That gave it a 11.5 at 128 at 25 psi.
The next run, we ran into a boost spike. It unfortunately lifted the head off the block. WAY to much cylinder pressure pressure at that boost level with MIVEC. Idropped compression down to 130 across the board. At that point I made the decision NOT to run again as we want to get the boost control back on track. That is all. The car will be back this weekend. So talk all the **** you want. Its part of what this business is all about and I understand that. So does the rest of the evo community. Only a few people on here ride our nuts to antagonize us.
Thats fine, because it drives us harder.

Yup on an AEM.
We are trying to accomplish this ONLY on a flash.
Then we will have fun with a standalone on a different vehicle.
So it will be fun again this week and the next.

the only reason for my comments and my "Strom" if you will is because you guys talk more sh_t than any other vendor i have ever seen.

Let your actions speak for you....that way...when you do make your fantastic 10 second pass....everyone might be impressed.....
Rather than the current situation where you guys talk and talk and talk about how you're about to break records and make history.....and then let everyone down.....

like i said, Let your actions speak for you.....they will be way louder and have a much greater impact than anything you choose to say on this board......

Actually the problem is that we don't talk enough. We have sat idle letting people spew there **** for long enough.
Secondly we never came on here saying anything about breaking ANY records.
EVER.
What we did do is comment when customers and others said we weren't "far from 10's"
Fourth, we asked what the record on a flash was.
Fifth, we stated blatently this car was built for R&D to help poeple on THIS forum.
Sixth, we don't see a problem with peers or fellow customers and members commenting on what we have accomplished so far.
I think that what bothers some people is that we aren't a big time company doing this venture.
Our name never had a standing. Good or bad. Just young.
But that will change. That I am stating blatenly for "those" to see.

just go to the track and race your car dude.....Precision Dyno has made a huge name for themselves from this forum but not at the racetrack where it actually counts.....

for christ sake just go race and let your car do the talking.......

stop listing your excuses, your accomplishments, your problems, your goals, your life plan..........

Just go to the track and Race your car........

Aem, Flash, Xede, wtf does it matter. It is still engine management on a built stroker motor. Can you change the timing on all? YES!, Can you change the injector size on all? YES, Can you make 550+ on all? YES? I am sure you will eventually hit 10sec like I will eventually have a GT35 on my car but you have faild so far like I cant afford the GT35 just yet. Plus other shops are already in the 9's and will probably be in the 8's this year. Its ok to post results, but dam this record stuff is getting ridiculous. Bottom line flash or not, you still can control timing directly, change injectors and fuel map settings and has all the necessities to make power.

is that all you guys do is get on here and disrepect other evos and shops trying something different? where i come from they would boot your *** right off the site for talking to a vendor that way! this is what this site is for, to learn about the evos and lancers and now people like you, have come on here and do nothing but knock what people are trying. so grow up and listen to what they have to say or go the mustang forums or the ls1tech and talk **** over there. im not taking up for him but i will tell you this what he is doing is finding out how far the stock maf will go. if you dont like what he is doing then dont read it!

All I did was post some facts. People run utec, xede, all use stock map same dam thing, but power is power no matter what engine management you use, whether you use stock maf or map sensor. AEM or ECUTEK does not matter is all I am trying to point out. Some prefer stock maf saying it is more accurate, some prefer speed density saying it is less restrictive. In no way I said anything disrespective

It isn't near as easy as you make it sound. That is why there is only one car that I am aware of that has ever run 10s on just a flash and there is some dispute regarding Kevin's run. Remember, there was a $1000 payout from a certain tuner for any of his customers running 10s on a flash and it took a long time for anyone to claim that money and as pointed out above, there is some debate as to wether it was just a flash.

Finally, if you don't like these guys, skip their threads. There is no need to come in here and talk all this smack. It is vendors like this that allow us to have EVOm for free. Again, if you don't like them, move on.

FWIW, I have nothing to do with PD.

Well if you see the original post said prove everyone wrong which caught my eye. We all know what a 2.3 stroker with a GT35 can do. There is not really much to prove. We know that is a nasty combo for hp. People on Xede (Smogrunner) make similar power on a similar setup using stock MAF, which is all that is really being done using stock MAF. Don't get me wrong I personally think it is great if they run 10's, but considering it seems the 9 responds to mods better than the 8, It is very expected with their setup. The only thing that gets to me is the fact they keep saying other shops this and that and we are a young shop. They keep emphasizing this throughout the post, which has no relevance to this situation. Good luck on hitting 10's though, I am pretty sure you will. I want to hit a 10 one day also, but on a 2.0 liter motor.
