Fuel Pump b4 Tuning?

Hi guys,

I already tried a few key words to search but couldn't come up whit what I was looking for. Here is the deal. I am going to TurboTrix on Monday to get tuned and I want to install my Walbro fuel pump before I do. Would it be dangerous if I installed the fuel pump before I go there? OR should I just get there a little early to install it in their parking lot? Its about a 3.5 hour drive from where I live so I don't know if driving it with the upgraded fuel pump is hazardeous with out a tune...

Thanks in advance...

I can't speak for everyone here but I don't think it is hazardous at all, I would say it would be beneficial if any. You should be OK. Make sure you have low gas before you proceed to do the fuel pump.

Disconnect battery terninal
Remove 2 12mm screws
removed bottom of back seats
remove 4 screws and a black metal sheet on left side
grab a towel for fuel excess
undo the electrical connector
undo the return line and the main line
undo the screws on the metal ring
pull assembly slowly
swap pump
reverse steps

That is just on the top of my head, don't just use my tips, there are much better reading articles but that gives you an idea of the work involved.

Best of lucks!!

Carlos
