Question What is the easiest way to read engine timing

I have the XEDE but have no way of reading my overall engine timing.

I have tried a pocket logger but it seemed to be very slow to react.

Is there a freeware OBDII software package that will work with a cable of some kind that will allow me to monitor timing - - real time?

I imagine I will have to use a laptop and that is fine.....I just need to know the product to use.

this may be a bit late but the problem is that the only way to read timing on a stock ecu equipt vehicle is through the odbii port. this is slow, sample rate of less tan 20 samples a second. this requires you to capture timing several times to get a good overall picture of what you're running.

unfortunately the pocketlogger is the only way right now, or a similar odbii cable. wait for the ecuflash software to address logging... then it'll be a nobrainer.

Thumbs up

ECU+ does a pretty good job.

I've been watching the ECUFlash information. There goes the resale value of my XEDE.

For stock ecu tuning esponses so far are:
  1. ecutek flash + utec
  2. ECU+

When, what, and how much would this be?

So does this mean that you can monitor what really happens after ECU processing from map changes made with the ecuflash?
