S-AFC II vs. S-AFC Neo
i myself purchased a brand new S-AFC 2 off of ebay, for 245 shipped. i was in the same boat and was thinking the same with the neo, but because i emailed boomslang about a plug and play harness they said they havent made one yet i was like the hell with the color screen. it was also alot less time consuming and cheaper of a install then the neo, and i didnt have to hack my wires up. as for warrtalon, no disrespect bro, i realize you are one of the top knowledgeable guys here on evom. but from time to time, reading your post such as the one above you seem like your just trying to peddle your products from whom your sponsored from. you also have to figure, not all of us are too keen on sending are ecus out to be flashed. not to knock usps or ups etc.. i dont feel safe sending something like that out in the mail. for fear of damaging it or getting lost. but anyways bro if you do end up getting an AFC, i have seen many guys here in south florida workin with them and they have had great results using them.

If I get Buschur stage 1 is it the same type of flah I would be getting if I got it from Dynoflash? and can I still get the $95 cable to go with that and DL the free software to tune it myself from then on out?
I am using the APEXi AFCNeo in my Evo VIII, and the other day I moved my gauges and disconnected the battery for about 2 hours. I has been running a little different since I did that.. anyone have any ideas??
It may have initialized and lost its settings. Shouldn't be running any SAFC anyway. Should sell it and get a flash.
Donmeca, I don't work for every flasher, so it has nothing to do with sponsorships - I'm just telling people to get A FLASH instead of the safc. I am a former SAFC owner and tuner, and there is absolutely NO reason to have an SAFC now with EcuFlash. There little-to-no reason to have one before. It doesn't matter if you don't want to send your ECu in the mail - that's one of the worst reasons to get an SAFC, because with EcuFlash you can just get it via email.

I think an SAFCII is for people who want a piggyback do not want to touch their ECU and do not want to pay too much. It is not the best piggyback out there, but for $200 used it cannot be beat. It has limitations
RRE are still running their EVO race car with an SAFC II and they have won almost every race they have entered.
There are cars in CA producing 438 whp using an SAFC.

If I could not afford the Xede, then I would have installed and got my car tuned with an SAFC II. The ability to have two tuned maps to switch to is an added bonus that the SAFC II has over a flash. Unfortunately, the SAFC Neo does not have that.
