can you possibly tune the UTEC for VTA BOV? i'm running VTA and i still have my MAF. if i install UTEC, can i fix the idle prob. from there? i cant get he answers from the search button. sorry another nub q
No drawthrough equipped MAF car will run correctly with a VTA Blowoff valve, you will have to recirculate it.. There is no fix for it other than removng it or recirculating it.. Even those who claim not to have problems are in reality deluded, their car still has problems, only they don't understand what they are.

That is like putting a sticker over a scratch and calling it fixed. Just because you don't see it does not mean that it is not there. Think about why you would have a problem when you VTA with a MAF. The MAF measures the air going into the engine in order to compensate with the correct amount of fuel. If you take some of this air out of the system via a BOV then your mixture is not going to be right and the car will go rich for a perioid.
ive found that some cars are more sensitive than others.
we run a tial 50mm on our 05 MR with the utec and 35R, and have had no stalling problems at idle.... also with a turbonetics raptor valve before...
if you adjust the bov, you can get the car to run "well" or "decent" but obviously as stated, MAF should be recirculated.
cheers

well damn, im in iraq right now, and my wife just left to go get my tial bov installed. im on the maf right now. i have not yet been able to convert to speed density. i guess my next mod will be a stand alone ems, and convert to speed density.
well i was able to enjoy my car on my leave from iraq. i had no issues with the tial and maf, although im sure it is not good for the car. i also found that you can convert to speed density with the stock ecu. i forgot the product, and where i found it, but i will find it and let everyone know.
