I have a 06 EVO_IX And I checked the oil and it's low!! Is this normal??
Oya it only has 1124_miles

 

New motor, break in, YES. Keep checking it when you fill up, save yourself the headaches down the road!

 

Make sure its not leaking anywhere though; I've read a few posts about some leaking from some mivec component. Poke your head around with a flashlight to see if the block has any dried oil/gunk around the bottom or back side too. Other than that, mine ate a little bit of oil up until ~2000 miles then it slowed down. It barely eats any now from what I can tell. Every engine will eat oil, but if its new and past the break-in, it shouldn't be that noticeable on the dipstick I would imagine....

when i got home after picking up my BR350IX from ohio(500 mile drive) i checked the oil the next day and was down 1 qrt..I changed the oil at 600 miles after adding the 1 qrt it was low.Changed it again at 3600 and i have 4900 now and it is still at the level when i changed it.Hasnt burned a drop yet.I was really nervous after being down the 1 qrt but now piece of mind
