Lift throttle knock

I've started tweaking my fuel map some.... mostly trying to lean out ridiciously rich condition past 5.5k. Well, no knock all the way to redline with WOT, but as soon as I lift, I get like 5-15 (it's pretty random) counts for that instant right after, then it disappears just as instantly.

I'll probably richen it back up as it was not doing it before when it was super rich.

I'm just curious as to the phenomenon of why it's happening. Anyone have some insite? One thought of mine is at the instant of lifting off the throttle (TPS still reads like 70), the ecu tells the fuel to cut but there's still a fair amount of air from the turbo being crammed in, before the BOV has time to react.

When I match the loadCalc in Evoscan or Mitsulogger with the RPM (i.e., <30 load, 7500+ RPM), you'll see in the high-octane timing map has it pegged at 38 degrees timing advance. I figured, what the heck, it can't hurt to turn that section way down.

The lower left corner, from 5500 - 7500 RPM and 0-30 load is set to 5. After having done this, my lift-knock has all but disappeared.

If anyone reading this knows that what I've done is harmful, please let us know!

It might be a idea to start to bring the timing there back up untill it just starts to knock on lift off, then you'll know where to set it. Good find though.
