Its not going to happen. Ecutek does not give a crap about the US Market and are pissed off at Colby for releasing ECUFLASH and killing their oversecured, rip off of a flash program. $650 for a reflash in a market with a Freeware reflash program is a disgrace to the Evo community.

hrm.. thats funny.. i heard the complete opposite.. matter of fact, i heard that the switchable maps feature is pretty damn close to being released. The only thing that was disappointing from what i heard was the price. its still supposed to be pretty damn expensive for a serial cable and a cd rom. :\

I have no faith in ECUTEK to provide the evo market with switchable maps. I talked with them about a month ago and was told they had no plans on releasing it. If you have other info I for one would love to know the details.

Don't be surprised if Ecutek abondons the whole U.S. Evo market altogether. There is no way to compete with Ecuflash which is a better program anyhow. And its free. Ecutek is garbage and is run by a bunch of GREEDY Europeans. If they told you to your face today that it would be released tommorrow, one should not believe them. They lie like no tommorrow and never honor what they say. Bunch of liars.

My next tune will most certainly be with ecuflash. And I have no problem with ecutek abondoning the U.S. market...It seems like they pretty much have already.Ecutek has been the biggest mistake I have made with my car's upgrade path so far, live and learn.

some tuners say ECUtek is a better tuning tool compared to ecuflash.

Hello kettle, I'm the pot, I think we've met!!!

The ECU-Flash, Utec, and DYNO-Flash distributors do the same 'ish...

There is now an Easy ECU for ECUtek...I know of an ECUtek customer in South America who received the software via mail due to not wanting mail his ECU to have it flashed...

It does exist...and was cheap...like $500 from what I was told, and offered BTW...

I always run 6.5 gallons of 101 octane and fill up the rest with 91 octane unless at the track, then I run straight 101 unleaded...I was not intereseted in user map adjustability, as others may be...

When you have personally used such map switching software on your own vehicle, please come on back and share your first hand experience with the forum.
