A stock maf pipe and an open filter would better than the K&N, but still difficult to tune for. But much better than K&N. Is the Turbo XS BOV venting to atmosphere? Or is is recirculated, when I looked at it I thought it was recirced, but I could have been wrong, if its not recirced you should get a Forge RS or a Metal evo9 BPV.

You want facts? Then go search to read the hundreds of threads talking about it. Not sure why people try to argue with us when they are noobs and the rest of the community knows it's a total piece of crap. Once you've done your research, come back and let me know what you found, and I'll let you know if you're right.

Believe me, it's not hearsay. I know it sucks to spend a lot of cash only to find out later it's useless, but hey, that's what happens when you do no research. Suck it up, fix it, and move on knowing that your car is in better shape without the Typhoon.

Quick hint - the interior of the MAF pipe has a major flaw.

i took it all apart today and by looking at it i can tell why it would throw off the signal. changing the internal volume of a sealed pipe can effect the flow and pressure and airflow for the good or the bad. now when you change the intake piping you are altering the airflow AFTER the MAF sensor. so the ECU is expecting a variable (airflow) based on the car having stock piping, when you upgrade the pipe you change the internal pressure due to the increased internal volume. without tuning for the altered values, you just end up with skewed numbers which mess up the cars stock tune. if anyone has stock intake piping they are willing to part with please let me know. and yes i have recirulated my BOV, my evo wont stay on without an idle stabilizer/recirculation. thanks for the help guys PM me if you got some stock stuff sitting around in the garage you want to get rid of...thnx
