Cam gains before and after flash?

I was going to go get dyno tuned by Al up at Dynoflash within the next month or so, but a funny little idea came into my head...Cams. Now i looked at a few and i decided on the GSC 272's. If i get these and install them with no tune for them, will the car run ****ty or just not quite up to par until its relashed, and at the same time what power should i expect at a 23psi tune with the cams and current mods.

any help much appreciated

Jay

Are you on the stock ECU program right now? Your car should run o.k. with the stock program and the cams, at least until you get it tuned. I've been running around with HKS 280/272's(0/-2) on the stock program for a couple months, however, I am limiting boost to 17-18#, until I get my XEDE piggyback hooked up again.

I sure wouldn't run 23# on the factory fuel and timing maps, though. My car looks to detonate at anything over 17# on the stock ECU.

my budddy with a evo xi talked to al about running 22-23 psi but he had ****y gas, so i would figure it safe for me as well. if anything ill run 22. but its good to hear that no major problems are present after a cam install on stock coomputer
