Need a tune

I have an 03 8 that needs some tuning. I just bolted on buschurs new 20g 9 lt and I need some tuning im in san antonio texas. I pmed jestr with no response for a week (im sure hes busy) What are my other options? I have ecu flash and evo scan with the tactrix cable. There is a tuner by the name of william at precision r but he wants 400$ for a tune and tells me it might take a whole day...and im unsure of his tuning capabilities. My mod list is 2.3 stroker from buschur, tbe,264 cams, 680 cc inj, walbro 255, mbc , greddy fmic + upper i c piping (the lower icp didnt work with the new turbo but the stock one did so thats whats on there now) Im willing to drive anywhere in texas for a tuner that knows what he is doing. Please give me suggestions for a tune and a licp solution.

$400 for a custom tune on a dyno is a pretty fair price, expecialy if its gonna take him the whole day.

Yeah, $400 is a normal price for custom tuning, but you are wise to question the guy's skills and experience with Evos. You have a complicated setup, so you need to get a good custom tune.

Since I don't know of any good tuner vendors in Texas, I think you should contact the username KevinD on here. He will take care of you.

William installed my mivec cams recently (first grind...dammit!) and then tuned my Evo. I'm pleased with the way the car runs and logging with my Zeitronix shows a very safe tune.

William is a very stand up guy and takes his time. I wouldn't hesitate having him work on or tune your car....

No this isnt a dyno tune with william it would be a road tune that is what my concern is that is a fairly hefty price for ecuflash.

Also, in order to get a good remote tune you will need a wideband w/datalogging capability to go along with your tactrix cable and evoscan. That is if you dont have one already. To get in touch with jestr tuning you could try emailing John with the email listed on his website. I've never tried PMing him on here. Also he is normally available via AIM during the week.
