Data Log Lab aka DLL errors
I've been using Data log lab aka DLL to read my evoscan log files so I can plot dyno numbers and compare some different tuning styles I'm experimenting with and it's been working great.
I rebooted my laptop (probably the first time in a week or so or even since installing DLL) and now when I start DLL it mentioned something about my 30 day trial period beginning and and went no further. I restarted the application, the splash screen comes up, the continue button lights up but nothing happens when I click it. I read the error log and it said something about either not finding or not registering a msxxxxx.ocx file. I rebooted the laptop again, no luck, I repaired the install, no luck, I uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed, no luck. I'm still having the same problem. I'm running Windows Vista on a new laptop, my other applications work fine best I can tell so far. I ran out of time this morning before work and didn't get a chance to search for the "missing" ocx file to see if it's on the hard drive or try hand registering it.
has anyone else run into this issue? I sent an e-mail to DLL support but haven't received a response yet so I thought I'd share this with EVOm to see if I can get help here and help others that might run into this.

just reinstalled the OS on my laptop and I have this problem again...this time the register trick isn't working :(
the command I'm using is:
regsvr32 mschrt20.ocx /u
then
regsvr32 mschrt20.ocx
it's successful in unregistered and registering the .ocx file but I still get the same error in the log.
the log file is here: C:\Program Files\DataLogLab\Program\error.log
the error is :Data Log Lab Error File
File Created : 18-Dec-2007 21:13
Date & Time : 18-Dec-2007 21:13
Location : DataLogLab/frmSplash/LoadMainForm
Number : 339 Component 'MSCOMCT2.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

oh wait, I just realized the first time it said mschrt20.ocx this is a new error with mscomct2.ocx
sweet it's working after I unregistered and registered that second file.
dumb vista!
