evoscan issue?

I just got my new laptop and installed evoscan and ecuflash in preparation to start tuning(having a professional tune untill I learn all the ins and outs). I'm still very new to this so I'm not sure how all the software works 100%.When I log with evoscan I can't open my log files with excel. The only place my log files show up is in the logging tab under "open log file in graph" and the playback in real time. They do not show up in my saved log files and I cannot choose open with excel or it throws an error. What am I doing wrong here? Thank you all in advance.

ok well I figured out I can send my logs to my documents, then move them into the saved log files folder, and they work that way. But, is there a way to have them be saved directly into my saved log files folder when I log a run?

Had this problem and was told it gets stored in a "virtual store" folder because windows doesnt allow files to be saved in you program files. I figured since this is the problem, I decided to just drag the whole evoscan folder (folder with all folders and evoscan program) out of my program files folder onto the desktop and that solved the problem. Now when I log files it automatically shows up in the "saved log files" folder.

thank you so much! I'll try that tomorrow when I get home from work. It's just a pain having to move the files all over to view them, so that should do the trick. Thanks again!

I just had this same problem. I just made a shortcut to the saveddatalogs folder that was in the "virtual store" program files, on my desktop and open them from there.

open windows explorer, go to the folder where evoscan saves the data logs.

underneath the address bar you should see COMPATIBILITY FILES. click it.

that should help
