SES LIGHT? Can EVOSCAN pull the code?

OK, i've searched for an hour... under SES, Evoscan etc... Nothing... someone help me. Basically, i got an SES light out of nowhere and I figured Evoscan would tell me what it was... but it didnt. Letting it run the Diagnostic Trouble Codes search.. it found nothing, like it was clear. But the light is on. Can Evoscan pull the code and define it? Or do i have to go to the dealer? The car runs fine and the logs are clean looking... Im thinking it may be due to the 2nd O2 sensor since im running a test pipe... but it hasnt triggered anything for a couple weeks until today? Any help greatly appreciated! Thx!

EvoScan 0.99 (the current version) cannot pull codes, but supposedly 1.0 will be able to pull ODB-II codes. There is a dedicated ODB-II software package called "Scan Tech" on the aktivematrix website. It works great for me.

thx guys! well, i visited an autozone store where they did the courtesy of pulling the code for me using a scanner. EGR error low reading etc... did a search and apparently the vacuum line being blow off is common... went back there and sure enough it was disconnected. put it back w/ a tie strap and all is good! thanks to the posts in this forum! saved me a lot of headaches...

Quick question, does Scan Tech also clear the code? Just curious because someone once told me i can reset the ecu w/ either evoscan or ecuflash. Not sure which one.

there is a clear code option in scan tech, never used it though, so i can't attest to its functionality.
