knock and p0172 code Help

knock and p0172 code Help
Okay so heres the deal... 90% of the time i hit boost my SES light flashes and i feel a dramatic loss in power. now since my SES flashes that means im picking up knock and so i have been babying my evo so i dont have detonation. anyways i just scanned for codes and im picking up a p0172 code meaning im running too rich? could this be related to my SES light flashing?
i am going to conduct a boost leak test and see what i can find.
also, ive been getting terrible gas milage about 8 miles to the gallon and that is mostly daily driving
im thinking running to rich and bad gas milage has somehting to do with my o2 sensor?
anyone have any input help ?

im on the same boat bro??..hit boost and service light starts coming?..knock i know for sure!!..but i got a big boost leak coming from my manifold so i hope that will fix my problem??..

im 99% sure this is all from a boost leak, since the leak is after the MAF sensor its causing the engine to run rich because the proper fuel ratio is being injected into the system based on the MAF sensor but the air is leaking out..... so its overfueling itself

changed it and fixed the whole problem evo runs alot better now

i dont get the ses light flashing but i throw the P0172 when just cruisin i hold boost fine under WOT and i get detonation when tryin to take off now as well and my idle fluctuates from 500-1000rpm some times, any idea??

on evoscan im guessing but i hold 25psi till around 6500rpm and it tapers to 19psi at redline. I get full boost at 3500-4000rpm. redline is at 7800
could thaat be a dv prob aswell? and ill be doing a leak test as soon as i get my hands on compressor
