So is hitting target been an issue for everyone that has left the secondary restrictor pill in or just some ppl. I am just wondering what I can expect because I figured I would try it without removing the restrictor pill first, just to see what happens

Bro---don't even waste your time.

The maps are created with the secondary pill out....in fact....you will most likely have to have your primary pill re-sized as well to hit target boost.

BUT...avoid that path as well...because as of right now COBB or whoever you bought your AP from will supply you with a new boost hose line depending on your state and elevation level...at least I think those are the 2 parameters.

So...just call them and get yourself the new line.....I hope that helps

EThompson---

I should probably clarify...if you are using a manual/electronic boost controller then you wouldn't have to take out any pills.

Sorry for that oversight....I didn't take my pills yesterday

well I got the AP and the cable that connects the AP to the car is apparently bad. Which sucks so now I have to wait for cobb to send me another one. Which should be here tuesday. I am just hopeing its not something gay like the OBDII connector on the car, Which I would think is highly unlikely. I'll let you guys know how it is though once I actually get the car flashed

anybody know exactly when the pro tuning software is going to come out?

when it does come out, is it going to be used through everyones current AP or do you have to buy something new? like a new AP unit.

DynoFlash says he has the software now...but I think he has a beta version....cause nobody else has mentioned anything about it yet...whether cobb or the guys I know at IA

The second part of you ?....all AP's are new....they just came out for evo 8/9 like 2months ago....so the only way to get Pro-Tuned(custom tuned) is first buy an AP then pay a Pro-Tuner(cobb's tuning network) to give you a custom tune with the software.

Supposedly, not confirmed, but Cobb has said that their custom tuning software will offer more in depth tables to be changed than ECUFlash.....and not to argue with anyone...but we all know a few things that ECUFlash does do now or accounts for now...at first the AP will not handle...

I guess COBB should really talk on all this...hope it helps some though

ProTuner should be out just before Xmas, as of COBB update this afternoon. I'm not sure when the StreetTUNER will be out though, this is the end user version.

If you had enough guys together up there for this...you should try and talk Stephen (IA Performance Owner) into making a trip up there to tune everyone.

That would be a sweet deal for all parties

alright, so you can use the AP for the ProTuner software, so does that map get saved in the AP so that you can switch out other maps and run whatever you want?

ex. Custom Map > Economy Mode > (back to) Custom Map

Once protuned they can save those custom maps for your car on the ap...if you want you can delete out some of the base maps that came with it so you don't have to search thru tons of maps to find your diff. custom set ups......

switch on the fly....an AP MARVEL
