Economy mode question...
In the notes section for this map it states:
Hardware Requirements: Otherwise stock vehicle with a STOCK or COBB
SF INTAKE SYSTEM ONLY.
Fuel Requirement: 91 or 92 octane.
Elsewhere it says 91 minimum, but does this mean you MUST be stg 1 with 91/92 only, or are those minimums?
Can a 93 octane stg 2 not use this map?

From my post above....on less than a complete full fill up...maybe instead of 14 full gallons I only had about 13 in the tank...and when the light came on I had 316 miles on the Trip A count......prior to uploading the stage 2 91oct map (stock) I would see about 300-305 miles till the light came on....complete fill up.
All driving is 95% city....now I generally drive like a normal human being also...during the day I may push the car hard only once or twice...I usually reserve WOT pulls for at nite around the desolate streets near my house...so anywho my gas mileage got better

How are you guys getting that good MPG out of your cars? I got an 06 straight 9 and at BEST, I got 220 and I got that when I did a test and did no hard driving for that tankfull. Otherwise I get any where between 160 to 205. 100% City.
Oh yeah, my car so far is completly stock and I'm waiting on my Cobb stage 2 to be shipped out this week, can't wait.

who knows...ive heard all over these forums guys say they can't get anything past 250 out of a tank....but to only get 160-205 out of a tank of gas...something has to be wrong...or you just drive like a crazy man!
Does anyone have real MPG numbers? I drive over 40 miles each way to work and back and it is mostly free way. It would be nice to turn on this economy mode for regular freeway driving like this, but I would like to know about how many MPG can be saved?
It is my understanding that economy mode can only be used if you have mods that are exact to the base maps that cobb offers....
But COBB needs to chime in cause I'm not sure that is 100% right

If you are running the correct modifications for either Stage 1 or Stage 2 mapping, you should be able to use economy mode. Modifications that change the tune (like and intake) can skew the results. Running a cat-back would be ok on the economy map.
The economy map is not designed to be driven aggressively on (especially if you are Stage 2). It is designed to conservatively drive around and the main area you will see gains in gas mileage is when cruising on the freeway. If you are going to drive the car hard, you might as well run the appropriate Stage 1 or Stage 2 map.

would a Cat back warrant the stage 1 flash or stage 2 when not in the Economy mode? I am at 4500-5000 FT would that be considered the High Altitude Flash? Also not sure if Albuquerque uses the CA **** water?
