aem uego cant log with evoscan, need help

aem uego cant log with evoscan, need help
setup:
aem uego
black wire to body ground and to serial cable
blue wire to serial cable
Serial cable set up
rj 45 cable cut and soidler to aem out puts, shared ground with body
rj 45 then goes to a rj 45 - 9 pin serial adpater then to a serial to usb adapter
usb - serial adpater is a iogear
cant log wideband at all im running vista on my laptop,
any input?

mine wouldn't log at first.. I had to make sure I had the most recent drivers for the USB adapter.. (i am using the one from radioshack) and then I rebooted my computer with the USB attached.. it found it and I was logging in no time.
I have mine permanently hooked up to usb jacks where the ashtray used to be.. just plug in USB and log away!

you have vista,
