Tune it so you can get the most benefit out of the things you are doing. Even a completely stock car can benefit from a tune, and once modded, if you don't tune, you will be leaving a lot of power on the table.

stock IX's peak at about 19.xxpsi and taper to about 17.xxpsi by redline. If you install just a TBE w/ testpipe. Your car will peak over 20psi w/o any aftermarket boost controller. Don't even bother w/ a boost controller unitl you get your tune. And dont waste your money on a cheap MBC that will taper horribly. Look into getting a GReddy EBC Profec-B 2 or getting your car tuned w/ ECU boost control.
Personally, I would hate to see you waste money on aftermarket "headers". If anything, just get your stock one ported until you upgrade your turbo.
Getting a tune will definetly help out. But whoever you get your tune from, make sure they know what they are doing when it comes to your MIVEC map. Tuning Mivec is the key around a solid IX tune.
