Major Roadblock! Please help!

Hi all:

First off a little background.. I bought my IX MR about a year ago new and loved it but wanted more.. I started adding parts (TBE, MBC, Cone Filter, Walbro, LICP, Wideband etc.) and decided to get it tuned by Mellon. We got though 7 revisions of his flashing when all of a sudden the car started acting funny. After the 7th revision we had the A/F just about dialed in and were about ready to move onto moving the timing up. Anyway on the 8th flash the 1st pull went fine and then the second pull the A/F went crazy rich (9.8-10.2) the entire run. I sent the logs off to him and he though there may be a boost leak causing it to run rich. I did multiple boost leak tests to 25psi and it held pressure for about 1.5 min before it was back to 0. I didnt hear any hissing at all. I also had a clamp on my MBC line as suggested by others. Anyway I flashed rev 7 back into the car and it was back to the way it used to be running fine. I spoke with Chris and he suggested to check again for leaks which I did and found nothing again today. I did about 5-6 pulls today and logged them all and it is still acting up. I'm kind of getting fed up and looking for someone who may have an answer as to why my car is acting up. I looked though the roms and nothing seems out of place in my fuel or timing maps from one revision to the next but yet my car doesn't seem to like the last revision. I would like to get the tuning wrapped up so I can have the car detailed and let it rest for a while(highway pulls cover the car in bugs). I can post the logs up for anyone who wants to see them. Please help me out!

Thanks so much!

Jon

Sounds like you need to keep working on determining whether its tune related or parts related. Could be that you need to start with a fresh stock ROM and transfer the key tables from the tuned ROM to the fresh stock ROM. Don't migrate over unconventional or bleeding edge tuning modifications.
