Evo AccessPORT Beta Firmware Update...
whenever the map shows the uploading within the second of that loading bar pop up it says i need to check my connection blahblahblah. i've check double check even triple check everything knowing forsure i didn't unplug the usb or the DL connector. never had this prob til this update.
I've found that sometime my AP has issue with connecting, the only thing that seemed to work was unpluging the AP, turning the key off and wait for about 2 min, then reconect the AP and then turn the key on.
Did you unplug the large dongle plug connected to the ecu after the update? If not, try that. Mine wouldn't connect after the update until I unplugged the dongle and plugged it back in.

Rob,
Is this the fix based on the trial run from yesterday that I responded to you about this morning?
Just a bump to this ??? from yesterday....

About the AP not connecting (or actually losing the connection in my case), when this happens to me all I had to do was pull the cable out of the AP and plug it back in. I don't think it's from a bad connection because the cable fits in their securely. I don't recall ever having a problem when I first plug it in.
Knock sum movement is going to happen with the seasonal change into warmer weather. It's ok to see bumps into the 4-7 range. I would be a little more concerned about anything above 10. If you have manual boost controllers, you may have to turn the boost down a touch when the weather gets hot or run a little higher octane.
If the knock sum becomes an issue, we will be more than happy to address the tune of our maps. At this point we are confident our maps will be safe even in the hot weather.
Thanks,
Rob

I am in line with all the recommended hardware. As follows -
COBB 3 inch downpipe
Perrin 3 inch high flow cat
JIC 3 inch catback
COBB SF intake
High altitude boost hose and pill assembly
Stage 2 91 octane 3000 ft+ elevation reflash

P/S......I got this latest version updated and all runs and looks great....I really like the MIN/MAX hold read outs...the only thing I wish could make a comeback would be the Intake Temp.
Great Job Rob
Obviously, heat raises these counts and whenever there's load and part to heavy throttle, usually I get these types of counts, in excess of 5. I pinged 10 and 11 just today.
Wide open throttle runs from 1st through 5th, are usually 0 - 1 or 2, sometimes 3.
It seems like cruising speed and normal driving are when it is registering the most counts.
Thinking about it, it may simply be a case of it always performing this way, but me not noticing it because the previous version had no peak/low reading.
Not sure....I would like the tune refined, though. There's definately detonation occuring, according to the counter. Anything above 10 should be cause for concern, according to a previous post.

I have 15,300 on my IX....back in Oct.07 when I loaded the AP I had 11,000....since I loaded the AP and have been viewing the knock sum I have seen under light/part throttle counts up to 4-7....then after about 2 months the counts rose up to 10-15.....after about a week of driving it like that I reflashed the car...and whaaaammmoooo back down to the 1-3 counts again.
I can't explain it....but that's what happen.....but still now as the weather here is 90+ I can never avoid knocks at light throttle....and the counts are always higher when going up hill
Chris,
checked and found firmware: v1.2.7.0-6000
dongle: cobb2 0.36
live data works like normal except some features that are frozen and had been cover in here. reset ecu work.
i've tried waited for bout 2 mins and still no luck.

So is there any discussion about addressing the tune of the maps? I'm getting bumps up to 14. Is there something I should check?
Hello, anyone from COBB care to address some of the customer concerns of the AccessPORT product?
