Hi guys, First post on here....
I have an 03 Evo VIII MR with 58,000 miles on it
Parts added:
AEM intake / KN cone filter
Stock BOV recycled
3" HKS down pipe wrapped in header tape
Test Pipe
HKS 3" exhaust Cat Back SS
Pill removed at actuator
Turbo Timer
Everything else is stock

So my problem is, under boost she jerks and misses like feul cut out, or like it is starving for something....It will not pull when floored, but when I lift off gas some it will start to pull again.....Also, when it is doing this you can hear it back firing and poping comming out of the exhaust. I think it might be starving for fuel...Again under jerking and popping there is now power.....It seems to reline real quick when doing it.

1 I know I'm too rich black on rear bumper How do I lean it some? Any adjstments I can do?
2 running 93 all the time with octane booster every once in while
3 Getting new plugs today
4 How does email flash work and what all do I need and where do you get it from
5 Anyone close to Hickory NC that tunes or has dyno?

When is the last time you changed your spark plugs/wires??
That was my problem when I had the same problem going on...

 

Although you may have bigger problems, you definitely want to get your car tuned

 

1-You need to order a Tactrix cable (95$)
2-You go out and log with Evoscan, or Mitsulogger
3-You send your mod list along with log(s) to the tuner of your choice.
(Look up 4ws Tuning )

 

really sounds like the spark plug issue...

 

Listen to the above also they didnt make an MR in 03 just so you know

Thanks guys...I'm going to try and do the plugs here in a bit...I took them out and it seems they hav run hot some white and some carbon them...Also seems to be a white spot where the arce is hitting...

What would be best plugs?
Why does everyone do walboro pump could it be a fuel issue? I thought I woul replace fuel fillter also...

Pick up some Ngk BPR7ES plugs. about 3$ a plug from Napa. (gap them to 0.24)
Everyone gets a Walbro as a safety net.... It's not that we need them at the time, it's just to play it safe.

 

Find a tuner ASAP. Even if you have to drive 100 miles at 30mph. Get a tune.
