there is but I don't recommend going through the trouble of converting the wb02 signal to nb02 and sending it to the ecu. It's not necessary.

Perhaps.

However, based on this thread I would not call the AEM UGEO a plug-N-play by any stretch.

I'm still looking for a real plug-N-play W/B solution for the EVO.

the LC-1 is about as close to plug-n-play as you will get. It doesn't require a gauge and the 5v output can be sent to the ECU for logging without the extra serial cable. It's a little more work to do the 5v input, but it's a super clean execution.

I have many remote customers that get the UEGO and most can't figure out the wiring to get it to log.

LC1 is the way to go in my opinion.

thats so weird, considering there is only one serial data wire? then again, not everyone has experience wiring electronics.

edit: I was planning on going with a LC-1 but after seeing all the issues, and hanging out on their forums, and then having a friend who's good with electronics and has one as a paper weight tell me how bad they are - i jumped on the UEGO gauge/controller for $200 off ebay.

That's likely because the wiring diagram for the serial plug is backward ... the diagram is for a male connector (I think) and you are using a female ... so it's mirrored.

that may be the case, I haven't done one personally and just glanced at a thread on here about how to do it.

yeah VWs are weird with their OEM widebands. Many are actually the same sensor used by the AEM/LC-1/Zeitronix widebands.

I assume it's cost and the nb02 seems to be working fine.
