which wideband to use for logging and tuning
which wideband to use for logging and tuning
I am currently setting myself up for some basic do it yourself tuning, and i need some advise on my choice of wideband. I have a laptop on the way, I will order the obd cable when i get paid, and can download evoscan and the tuning software once theo computer gets here. In the meantime, I have my dash tore up so i can put some gauges in. One of them will obviously be a wideband. I would like to know what wideband will work the best for what I am trying to do. I want it to run well, and not need to be calibrated every 30 seconds. Also, what else will I need besides the wideband gauge and o2 sensor? Is there someother component that links the wideband to my laptop? Any help is appreciated!

how hard is it to hook up, harder than the uego correct? the uego from what i understand is a all in one unit, while the lc-1 needs to be hooked up, then you can hook a gauge to that. am i right?

yes I did the LC-1 + DB gauge from www.tunertools.com and used my discount code for being a member or www.racevideforums.com there is some minor wiriing involved (ground/power) and I picked up a serial to usb converter so it would plug into my laptop and work with evoscan/ecuflash.

yes it does but I don't do it the way they suggest:
I get up to ~ 50mph, leave it in 5th or 6th gear then let off the gas, the engine becomes a big air pump and I press the button to calibrate it...presto
