TBE+tuning?
TBE+tuning?
Installing a TBE ( downpipe, test pipe, catback and muffler 3'' stainless steel) on wedsnday, do I have to tune the car for just the TBE? the car is stock other than the TBE, considering getting a COBB AP later on. Cuase if I have to tune ill wait cause i need the vehicle and dont have the money for a tune or AP.
You do not have to tune to run around with a turbo back exhaust.
To get the most power, and fun, out of the increased exhaust flow; yes you will have to tune, but like you said you're doing later on.
After the exhaust is in try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It resets the ECU, will have to relearn some fuel trims, and should run a little better.
Make sure you have something for for the check engine light that will come from the test pipe.

Yes, weld in a bung for the stock o2 sensor. Or just get a wideband and weld the bung just before the test pipe, on the downpipe. Then delete the stock o2. Search on the forums on how to do all of that.
