Innovate vs AEM...

Okay I've been trying to figure this out and correct me if I am wrong...

But Innovate's system seems expensive as hell, even in comparison to AEM.

Here's what I want to monitor via gauges (Digital Only People!)

A/F Wideband
Boost PSI
Tranny Temp

AEM Setup - Total: $570
A/F Wideband - $218
Boost - $202
Tranny Temp - $150
(Prices are approx, if you can find better deals PM me! )

Innovate - Total: $1165
(Prices are approx, if you can find better deals PM me! )
A/F Wideband (LC-1) - $329
Tranny Temp (TC-4) - $129
Boost (LMA-3) - $249
2x Extra Gauges (A/F Wideband comes with one) - 2x $229 = $458

PLX -
AFR sensor w/ wideband sensor
Vac/Boost sensor
Fluid Temp sensor
Multi-Gauge Module (52mm)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
What am I missing here? Anything?

You're missing another option:
http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/zt2/zt2.htm

And I think EGT is probably more useful to monitor than tranny temp.

One difference is that I think the AEM only does real-time monitoring whereas the Innovate and Zeitronix actually do logging i.e. store past data in addition to real-time monitoring. Some people have reported having calibration/reliability issues with the Innovate, whereas the Zeitronix is self calibrating and seems to be reliable. I have the Zeitronix, with boost and EGT add-on options, and am very happy with it.

I actually found another option PLX. It really seems like the best choice for me. And as you can see I drive an X we just don't have nearly the knowledge base on our tuning forums as is here yet. So I posted down here. Tranny temp is EXTREMELY important on an X MR.

Good point, didn't notice that tidbit of information. The other option would be just to fit an additional tranny cooler, and then not worry about it anymore.

You say it like they are in production in the US? They aren't. As far as I know there are 3 companies in the world right now that make them. Of those only 1 in the US and they are still doing prototyping and testing.

I had an innovate on my SRT 4 and I used to get E-2 errors randomly al lthe time. I'm trying AEM now. I don't care about logging feature. I can wire the AEM up to a serial connection and plug it into my laptop when I'm using EVOscan anyways.

You know we're going to have the best prices on any of those setups right sir? ;-) PM me when you decide which route you're gong to go, they are all good components so it comes down to price and aesthetics...

Also, the PLX setup would have just one display which is great for space savings...

I need an AFR gauge... and I would probably go with the AEM as they make some good stuff. To the comment about the tranny cooler, you can always make your own. Most people dont like to do that, but if one doesnt exist, a tranny cooler isnt that complicated. I am pretty sure Summit or someone like that sells a generic one that you could route and mount.
