Need Help!! tuning issue??

I bought my Evo (9) not to long ago, love the car. But I’m having some issues with the car when i accelerate. Whenever I start to get the turbo to spool, say 3500rpm on and push in the clutch the car rev’s about 1000rpm over what I’m shifting at, for no reason. My foot is totally off the gas when this happens. List of mods
forge bov
hallman pro boost controller
zeitronix lcd screen
snow performance meth kit

I think I may have something to do with how the car was tuned. When you get on the gas you can only put it ¼ throttle but the car is set up so it acts like it’s under full throttle, if you go past ¼ throttle point the meth system will beep at you and cut your boost. I’m really confused on were to start with this car, I don’t have a company close to me that I can take it to and re-tune the car. Closest place is 8 hour drive one way.

I’m just trying to figure out if this is a ecu flash issue, or the zeitronix system or something else. It ****’s me off with this weird set up, I just want to be able to floor the car and not have the meth system beep at me.

Not sure if any of that made sense…..

at least try a mitsu dealership first if there closer than a tuner

the rpm jumps on shifting, sounds like your clutch is slipping. This might have something to do w/ your throttle issue as well...
Just a guess tho... Gl

1. The RPM jump when shifting sounds like it may be your clutch. You can try testing this out by doing a load test e.g. 4th gear pull on a long steep hill, and see if the revs start to climb even though throttle position and hill gradient stay the same.

2. Re your tuning, with the meth off and/or the manual boost controller turned down, does your car still cut boost. What does your Zeitronix read for max AFR, boost and EGT in both cases. If you buy or borrow a Tactrix cable and Evoscan (http://limitless.co.nz) you can take a log, and also use EcuFlash to download your ROM, both of which will help people on this forum help diagnose your problem.

well the rpm jump was a build up of junk in the Throttle body. Took some carb cleaner to it and fixed the problem.

My real question is. With this snow performance meth kit, i can only give it 1/4 throttle max before it beeps at me, opens the waste gate and kill all my boost. Now i was told by the previous owner that, at 1/4 the car acts like it's at full throttle. Sounds wierd but it is true, when i'm at 1/4 and keep it there the car acts like it's under full load and seems to go well. But it sucks for throttle control.

I'm just trying to find out how this was done so i can reverse it. Have you ever heard of someone tunning a car to do this??

sounds like the owner b4 you messed with the throttle cable or the TPS. Im leaning towards the TPS. Hope you find the problem
