Getting a tune... questions..
tuning should be anywhere from $300-$500 US at MOST from what ive been told and from what ive been charged..
One good thing to do before you go tune is to run a boost leak test throughtout the charge system
But if you only have an intake and exhaust i dont really see any point on wasting that money on tuning, id get more mods 1st

well I'm running 200 miles per tank right now rather than the stock 250 miles and its quite fustrating to keep draining money for gas. The only mods I would look to put into would be exhaust manifold and a o2 housing and thats the limit already, but seeing as the current rate of cash flow I have i doubt i'd get there within this half year and I'd rather spend the $$ on exterior which I prefer more than mods.
So whats a mail in tune?? I have no idea how to access the ECU and such... =(

Why not give Boosted Tuning a shot. The cost is significantly lower - $150 - and the expertise and experience is there.

I also have a "cable rental" program.
a couple of things to do before your tune;
1- get a fresh set of new spark plugs
2-make sure there are no boost leaks.
3-bolt on all the parts you want on the evo now before the tune(that way you get the most off all your bolt ons)255 fuelpump/turbo-back exhaust/boost controller to get the most out of a tune
4-I doubt you'll get exactly 250 miles on a tank. I ended up getting a little bit better gas mileage than previously before. I ended up with 220-240 depending if i hit up some highway travel or not.
5-Try mellon tuning (Great option for you)
