HKS ssq bov idle problems!!

Question HKS ssq bov idle problems!!

Just put a hks ssq bov on my evo 8.... i also have the hks air intake which is very sensitive to everything! but i have the hks eids and my ecu has been tuned so im lost on how to fix this problem or just sell the bov and go back to stock? I am a newbi fooo shooo so anything you can through my way would help!!!!!

Read the forums. If your BOV vents to atmosphere you are going to have problems. I see you have the computer to adjust the idle also, to help compensate for VTA BOVs but still, you will see no gains with them and are just asking for drivability problems.

With all the viable options there are in the recirculated BOV market today that can hold massive amounts of boost, I would just switch it up and go with something proven. Synapse, APS, Forge. All great products.

that bov makes your car run awful if not recirculated. There are so many better options out there. You should do some research before slapping a part on your car, but it's your money and good luck

get an evo 9 one, they are good up till 25psi give or take. and they are metal. and yes, recirculate the bov if you need to keep yours, your car will thank you for it.

I got a IX BOV and it holds 24 psi fine, re-circ is the way to go, maybe HKS has a adapter? IDK if they do. good luck

Yes there is a recirc kit for the SSQV from HKS.
