all 4 cylinders has low compression

Help guys i have an evo ix and i got it tuned by mellon and it didn't put out the right HP #s. Then i went home and checked my compression and it turned out that i had low compression in all 4 cylinders. The car drives fine but it is not putting out the right hp with all the parts i put on. Do u guys know the problem?

parts that i have on:

tomei pon cams
down pipe
exhaust
injen piping (all)
xs eng intercooler

And i only put out 265hp and 279 torque. I know i should be putting out more.

how many miles on the motor? how many psi per cyl? And this is unrelated to low compression, but have you checked for boost leak?

How many times did you crank the motor over per cyl?

any chance you are on low battery? compression test on low batt can potentially throw off results

the engine only has 46000 miles on it. i am running only 19psi where it is happy with little knock., the higher psi we went the more knock we got. I havn't checked the battery yet but it does crank every time. i turn the key.

Do a lead down test. That will show you where the air is going.

You still haven't posted the compression numbers...
You may want to try a wet compression test. It will tell you if your rings are shot.

Did you hold the throttle open while cranking? Wet compression test might be enlightening assuming you can get the oil to edges of the piston. If all four are just a little low, I'd actually just run it as-is. I've seen more than one 4G63 make good power with less than ideal compression across the board.

if you have low compression in all four cylinder, its often other issues including faulty tool, faulty procedure or weak battery....

its extremely rare to get low compression on ALL the cylinders. variance between cylinder is more important then pure numbers
