Speed Density conversion..whats needed?

Speed Density conversion..whats needed?

I was just curious on what is all needed for me to convert from MAF to speed density. Is there alot more to be gained from speed density?

alot of people will tell you to search....

but your answer is...
map sensor- aem, omni, etc
iat sensor with pigtail wires to install into the harness
bung for iat
tune of course
vent to atmosphere bov

you wont gain much until the high hp area but the car will run smoother. plus a vta bov is always a plus

Harder to tune, no real gains to be had unless your bigger than a stock framed turbo. I would not recomend it at all.

hes right to an extent, no real power gains, but the car runs ALOT better once dialed in correctly...also you should see slight increase in power and gas mileage

speaking from experience? Have you installed it yet yourself or going by other peoples posts?

Does the bov have to be vent to atmosphere? If so, why?

No you can leave it recirc'd thats just an option. Stock turbos see somewhere between 8-11whp on average. You dont have to have the IAT to make the car work properly and consistently independent of weather.
