What do I need to log on Evoscan?
I want to get a tune from mellon. I might not be able to drive up there, so I think I am going to send him a log for an e-tune. Will my car log everything? Or do I need a special wideband? I have a PLX wideband, but to my understanding, this does not log. Im new to this, so no mean responses, please.
I don't know anything about this wideband, but you most likely will need to log A/F. If you search, there is a thread explaining how to connect your wideband to evoscan. You need a serial to usb cable.
I use a PLX wideband. I feed the 5v wideband output into the ECU's rear O2 and log it. I cut the harness and added spade connectors and it works fine. Only when I'm logging do I have the wideband connected. For daily driving, I reach under there, disconnect the wideband and reconnect the stock rear O2 sensor. If I leave the wideband connected it will trip a check engine light for rear O2 high voltage. When logging it shows raw voltage, but I like to look at my data in spreadsheets anyways so in the columns I add the formula;
voltage x 2 + 10 = AFR
It works just fine.
voltage x 2 + 10 = AFR
It works just fine.
