Someone help me log my wideband!

So I installed an LC-1 and wired it into the rear o2 connector underneath the passenger seat like the walkthrough on here.

In Evoscan I am logging the "rear o2 wideband" or whatever for the LC-1 and it doesn't read. It's just 10.0xxx flat all the time.

Is there a certain formula that needs to be entered other then what's in there, or do I need to be doing something else or logging something else. It's very hard to tune without being able to log wideband!

this might be a very stupid question.
But have you selected the serial port that your wideband is using?

because it will read in the 10's or not register at all.

Ok here is the question for you then
Did you follow the steps here? :

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...ut-serial.html

out of curiousity why didn't you just run the wires in the same location as the rear 02 sensor wires goes in?

I followed that exact HowTo. It is wired exactly how he has it.

how about the ecu side of things?
did you disable the rear 02 sensor?

If you followed it 100% then something is missing for it not to work.

I did what the walkthrough said, i'm thinking the formula is set-up wrong.

i had to build my own formula.
i logged the raw o2 signal (no formula) and i logged the wideband via a usb port side by side.

found 3 points and built a formula on wolframalpha.com

I don't have a way to log my wideband standalone, plus i shouldn't have to do this. Just another reason why I wish there was a plug & play aftermarket ecu that worked. Jumping through hoops and figuring out formulas is just stupid.

Well, the set of people who can work out variants of "x*2+10" is way larger than the set of people who can design/develop/market an aftermarket ECU... so we go the DIY-patch route!

i went to school for 12 years... then 4 more for a measly $40,000.
all so i could make a formula for evoscan to display my air fuel ratio.

it was worth it.

do you have a gauge?

does the lc-1 come with a formula? just need to modify it for the ecu reference ground. although i think rich has posted something after rax fast logging to reference direct voltage from the o2 rather than the modified reference voltage.

I'll just be frank and say that I have no idea what i'm doing or how to do it. Hence my issue.

Did you hook up the analog output or the serial/usb output? Obviously it needs to be the analog one and your LC-1 software needs to set the sensor and its output (1 or 2) to the correct range.

If you are still having problems make sure you are getting voltage on that line with a multimeter when you start the car and have exhaust gas flowing over the sensor.

I have a gauge hooked up to the output and it's calibrated properly, works well.

It just doesn't log correctly in EvoScan. My best guess is the formula isn't correct...and i'm not certain on how to figure that out without jumping through a million hoops. If I have to unhook crap, hook other stuff up and do all this ****...it's not worth it to me i don't have that much time and it's cold as hell where i'm at right now.

If it's a simple formula change and it works, that's great.
