egr disable question

ok so i keep throwing a po403 and ive done all the usual checks and all my lines are connected and nothing obviously broken so i assume the solenoid has gone bad. but i dont really want to pay to fix it so how do i disable it in ecuflash? do i just change the 1 to 0 in fca and im done? what are the negative affects of this?

Have you tried taking the egr valve off...and cleaning it...could just be possible build up...and not getting sufficient flow?

nope i didnt bother the car has 30k that is unlikely. plus why do i need the egr anyway. i deleted in periphery bits and have seen no changes at all in my cars behavior.
we have no emmisions in fl either so i guess i really dont need it
