Will a netbook work?

So, in the spring I plan on running 2 maps for my car (E85, 93). I'm not currently sure who will be tuning the car or what not. And I'm also not sure witch program the tuner will be running. But my question is, I was planning on buying one of those little notebooks they sell. And they run windows 7 starter with an Intel® Atom™ Processor... and I was wondering if the computer will support the tuning programs out there...???

Fwiw, everyone I have personally known to buy netbooks said they hated them. They say they are more unstable than a regular laptop and you are limited to functions slightly more advanced than most smartphones. I would strongly consider getting an off-brand cheap laptop from an online distributor first.

Just curious, why not do the Tephra mod and just run switchable maps?

Tephra mod is a modified rom that Tephra created. One of the features is multiple fuel and timing maps that can be switched after without re-flashing.

I've got an HP Netbook with XP, and I'm using ECUFlash and Evoscan on it with no problems.
I wanted to stay with an older OS because they've worked out all the issues with it on ECUFlash.
If your wanting to do live tuning than I would get a laptop with more RAM and memory.
