MDP (boost) reading at idle in Evoscan

Hey guys , new to these cars-- have more of an E30 BMW background... Anyways, the Evo 9 I bought from a co worker has run terribly even before I bought it. Its got AMSs gt30r based kit in it with a walbro 255 and 880cc injectors. It runs fine at (very light) part throttle but the moment any sort of load is experienced/when it experiences the slightest bit of boost, she goes full lean... No DTCs... My first few times messing around with Evoscan, I noticed that the MDP (boost) was reading anywhere from 18-20 psi at idle Shouldn't it be reading vacuum? Anyway, before I go out and buy a new MAP sensor, I figured I'd see if any of you guys had any knowledge you could graciously bestow upon me

Thanks!

Is this an OMNI 4 bar map sensor or the stock one?

It appears to be a stocker...

I'll be out of the country for a few days. I'll be excited to check for responses when I get back. Thanks so far RedRalli! BTW, I dated a girl on the island of Kauai from Killeen...
