SD or STay w/ MAF

I am trying to do some research and decide if It is best to go Speed Density or stay with the EVO MAF. I have heard alot of stories supporting both. If anybody has some research or first hand on which one might be better for me and my setup I would greatly appreciate it. Which one is better for upgraded FP BLACK turbo and E85, 1200 pte injectors, PORTED intake, throttle body, exhaust manifold, BR 272 cams and all the rest in my signature? Thanks for any help. I have read a few posts but the internet in IRAQ sucks so any advice would be awesome.

there is going to be a lot more and far better information if you search...your only going to get random opinion and some feed back from the end users in here. Try to find some of the threads from the Gurus and you will get a good idea of whats involved and the pros/cons.

Basically the more radical the car gets the better SD does and the worse maf does. Its particularly good at handling huge cams and radical turbo setups but it looks to me like for the most part there isn't anything in your build the maf couldn't handle.

Max power wise the SD car will win on larger turbo setups simply because you can use bigger filters and piping improving the flow there.

Downsides to SD is its still a pain in the butt to tune and every car/part needs to be worked into it unlike the maf which is adaptive and handles a range of parts pretty easily. The other downside is without proficient tuning skills you'll want a reputable tuner to put SD on your car otherwise you'll find that the car just wont run like it should.

Each setup has its own list of quirks you just have to choose which ones your willing to live with.

Also looking to go SD. Thanks for the info. I've been having idle and stalling issues. Thought it was a leak, but it's not. My tuner told me it's time to go SD....

Go SD and you'll never look back-- especially with those cams.

ps-- Thanks for having our back and serving the country well.
