maf sensor advice

Recently purchased a new maf sensor for my ra 2006, but it doesn't seem to have the same pin connection as my old sensor.
I did research before I purchased but didn't get any info on the pins only thing I found that my ra has 2 possible mad sensors that can be used one has a 6 pin like I have but is quite costly from my dealer and a 4 pin which is mostly used here when converting to an Sri system. I just wanted some advice on what I should do next cause I have purchased a 4 pin maf sensor thinking it would be an easy plug and play. Is there a way around this like a wiring adapter or anything that would allow me to use the 4 pin maf on my 6 pin wiring? I wanted to install an Sri, have all the parts available but don't know how to go about the maf sensor now. And if possible does anyone know what are the wiring on the 6 pin maf sensor for exactly maybe I could start from there. Thanks in advance.

I wasn't aware they made MAF sensors different between our years?

Sorry if they are not clear, I just quickly grabbed them to show u what i mean. I'll take pictures of the real thing tomorrow cause its 3 in the morning at my side.
The first picture which is that big looking sensor is the stock one I have. When I made a few researches here I got this one and the second picture. Both apparently are parts that fit my ra model. My one mistake was that I didn't find out about the different pins. I just figured since they are both for the ra, one maybe for the Mt and other at. So I thought they should have the same pins.

You don't have a USDM ralliart, which is limiting our ability to help you as things are different for your model.

yeah, the larger one is a volume air flow sensor. the smaller vane type mass air flow sensor is what is used on the 4g69 and the newest generation of mitsubishi engines...

This. Our cars use the one on the right. Should be the same for yours unless you're not running the 4g69 engine.

as i remembered when i did a research on my engine type it was a 4g64 but im not sure pictures seem to match my engine does this mean the sensor i got will only work for the 4g69 and there is no way around it.

post a picture of your engine so we can see what we're working with. i havent heard of a lancer with a 4g64 engine though... a non-turbo 4g63 we've seen around here once or twice in the non-usdm ralliarts.

Here you go... im not sure if it's a 4G64 but comparing how my engine bay looks like with the pictures I get from Google of a 4G64 they seem to be quite similar if jot the same.

i googled a few pics Raikiri, and i think you're right...at first glance it looked just like my 4g94, but the PCV valve screams 4G93 SOHC...

I Google the 4G93 and you guys could be right so I guess I'd have to return the sensor I bought. Would this mean I need to buy my stock sensor aswel or is there another option I could use cause I already have the aem intake for it.
