Hi guys,

Same thing happened to my ride E8MR(JDM - Stock)
All hoses checked, UICP & plugs has been changed.
Throttle body & Air Flow sensor cleaned.

Especially during over taking at 4th or 5th gear.
Kinda miss-fire for the few second then able to boost.
Please advice...

have you tried looking at your coils? and also are the plugs spark gap correct? you should start with the simple stuff before going on to hader things. goo luck man.

ben,

Thanks for the advice.
My bet also the Coil... Probably end of this month going to change.
I've read about Coil-On-Plug(COP) without CDI by several brand.
Could you suggest me which is better?

I don't have opportunity to test/swap other coil by other Evo user.
Maybe need to buy new unit....

ya, a simple test you can do to see if it is a coils is to switch your coils in your engine and see if the misfire travels, so like if its cylinder 4, swap that coil with cylinder 3, and see if the misfire travels to cylinder 3. its a simple test and most likely going to 100% tell you if it is a coil. first i would go and see how much a oem coil would cost, because its made from the factory with it, its going to work with the car no matter what, off the top of my head i'm not sure on a aftermarket coil, i have not swap my oem coil to aftermarket, so i dont know the best brand on that, but oem is sometimes the best way to go.
