Looking for some graphs to help with a $1,000 bill
Hey guys, I need some help. I have my car at a shop and am now $1,000....yes $1,000, into a tune. I am clearly getting shafted and now that the bill is that high I have no choice but to pay it. So here is where I need some help. I dropped it off for a tune and the shop did a clean up tune to pass emissions and correct the idle issues and so on. He said the base number was 321awhp. The car has a GT35R HKS turbo kit on it with HKS 264/264 cams and supporting fuel mods. He stated it is NOT possible to break into the 400awhp mark. I am suppose to go get the car on Saturday and his convo with me today went something like "I got the car back on the dyno and we can discuss the power numbers when you come to get the car. We did some researching on it and I think you will be surprised on what cars like yours actually make". So, from the sounds of it, the car is going to be no where near 400awhp. Im not happy that I listened to a buddy about going to this shop.
Now I was wondering if anyone had dyno graphs with their mods list that is either equal to the mods I have or less so I can give examples when I go to the shop to hopefully argue this $1,000 bill down based on him wasting my time and money with this tune. From what I was told my car should break into the 400awhp range and when I told him that he laughed and sade EVOs can't do that on stock internals.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks

There is guy who just now made a thread about his evo 8, with 10.5 hot side, and hks cams made around 360 awhp.. looks like your tuner is really not the best guy to let work on your evo.
actually the guy up top pointed you to the best place... 400 on stock internals is not very hard on evos lol. the fact he said that should show his lack of evo experience

what kind of dyno? and what kind of fmic and other mods do you have?
I've went past 600whp on around 100 stock blocks to date, maybe more. its not recommended to do of course, but it can be done with being very cautious and safe and working with an engine that had no prior abuse in its life.
the stock rods actually bend before they break, so they are not that weak.
