Thoughts and suggestions

just bought an2006 Evo MR 9 w/ 87,000 miles a little bit ago, the previous owner had done some mods, its running 25psi, it was tuned, it looks like it might have a short ram intake im not sure its by injen, and also an injen exhaust, It has a stage 3 clutch on it and an upgraded intercooler piping i believe. just wanted some feedback on the parts he's put in and also where should i go next from here so i don't avoid stressing other engine part that are not upgraded. if anyone could help that'd be great.

in the same boat as you, bought an 8 with 56k on it, previous owner had mods done to it and turned it pretty much to stock, well stock turbo and pipes and fuel but the car is safe to handle 500hp (was told from the shop that worked on the car) and supposedly has a shep trans

so far have hks intake, turbo back exhaust no cat, fmic upgrade with larger pipes and walbro255
next on purchase list are, 272cams 1000cc injectors+aem fuel rail, and hallman manual boost controller. oh and an aem wideband

just wondering about how much whp you guys think id make with this

and considering some turbo upgrades but for later this season(suggestions please)

I run the injen intake. That in itself is fine, even on stock tune. Is that intercooler piping upper or lower or both? What is a stage 3 clutch? The parts you mentioned don't do anything to the drivetrain. Now if your tune is all jacked up that would be a cause for concern. How do you know it's running 25psi?

So if you hit 500 hp & your torque goes over 400 lbs. and your internals are stock you are going to throw a rod or something. And I think the limiting factor on your setup is the stock turbo. Fuel is a big factor too. .....so with that turbo and your other mods I'm guessing 325 (ish). I'm sure somebody running a similar setup or who knows more will chime in but that's my guess.
