Help with Knock

I am helping a friend with tuning his car and it keeps getting knock during low rpms/spool up. It's random though. Sometimes it will do it in 2nd gear, but not 3rd or vice versa. Can someone please take a look at these logs and help me out?

Mod list:
Buschur 3" turbo back exhaust (high flow cat and bullet muffler)
Buschur UICP
Buschur LICP
Buschur intake pipe
Buschur Street Core FMIC (3.5")
HKS SSQV BOV (recirculated)
Walbro 255
Grimmspeed 3port BCS

And on 91 octane.

What MAP sensor are you using/evoscan scaling? You're logging 44psi at3k rpms and you didn't mention an aftermarket turbo. You're peaking airflow at 1593, you need to be logging 2-byte airflow.

Your peak tq/load timing looks good, Can you post up your ignition map?

In a few of your logs, the most I'm seeing is 2-3 which is okay as long as it's not consistent, and yours seems to be inconsistent. I do see a blip of 6 counts of knock at a part throttle pull but you're extremely rich 10.3-.9

A lot of your logs are just part throttle and only half the story, you need to log a 100% throttle log from 2800rpms onto redline so we can get a good idea of what is going on.

Grab a full 3rd gear log, and post up your ignition map and we can help you out a bit further.

Have you tried taking out some timing in the 2500-3500 rpm range. That seems to be where your load1b is greater than 220?

Definitely try pulling timing and maybe adding a little fuel.

Check out the last log in the higher RPMs - 7-10 counts.

How high of timing are you trying to run at peak rpm? Double check everything in the engine bay to make sure nothing is rattling and hitting the frame or anything of that nature. Also if you're on step 7 plugs, try swapping to 8s to see if it helps any.

Also log a lot fewer things at one time, fuel trims and such are not necessary when going open loop.

I forgot to uncheck the MAP, I was messing with the settings for my Omni 4-bar on my car. I was logging boost through the Zeitronix boost gauge.

I will try to get a log this weekend. Most of the time it would only knock part throttle, so I really didn't think to get a full throttle log. Here is the ignition map.

Yeah, I flashed back an older map.

I'm still learning slowly, so I'll take all the advice I can get

Map doesn't look too bad, just make sure you are increasing timing with RPM, and Decreasing with load, ie.. fix the areas in the 70-80 load ranges.

I'm still learning a lot myself so welcome to it! It's hard for me to make suggestions though since the only thing I've dealt with is my 62mm turbo setup, which is quite different lol.

Is this an Evo 8 and do you have EGR enabled?

EDIT: Also your block of 4s in the higher load range around 3500rpms.. Make sure timing goes down until peak tq/load, then ramps back up to your desired timing at peak rpm.

Correct, Evo 8 with EGR enabled. I just worked off a stock tephra map. I will try to get together with my friend and see if we can get a full log. We went tuning a few weeks ago and we didn't get any knock counts at all. Thanks for your help!
