i have had guys pay me to do this on subies. lean cruise and lean idle are popular fine points but when you have a ***** to the wall car it hardly matters. 15.9
is a tad lean but if it transitions well it may be purposeful . do both take opinions and call them. any tuner that can't answer this question in 5 minutes doesnt deserve more customers.

15.9 is nothing to be concerned about long as the car is idling, not missing or anything of the nature. 93/E85 can be ran up to 16.5 before you really start to see a miss. In fact I've been targeting 15.9 in my cars tune for a few months now just testing different things.

The explanation in question by wreckleford I completely agree with, and I'd be concerned about your tuner if that is in fact true.
