Boost drop off at higher rpms?

Stock 05 turbo, full bolt ons and hks 272 cams. The car will hit 25 psi and slowly drop down to about 20-21 by redline in higher gears. No boost leaks to just under 20 psi but after that the tester blows off. Is this an indication of a leak at higher levels or more the stock turbo running out of steam? I don't have too much experience with these things so I don't want to be chasing my tail if it's just a turbo issue. Thanks.

You can get an aftermarket waste gate actuator if you want to hold that higher boost to redline.

20-21 PSI by redline is all stock turbo could do. :}

What you are experiencing is completely normal. Boost will taper down in the highier RPMs. Do what Sheasta suggested if it bothers you too much.

You can also unscrew the end and cut 2mm off the end of the actuator arm then screw it back on. Cheap mod to hold 30psi all the way up

Get a MBC that will help some but you will still taper. Maybe get a new wastegate. You will probably still taper some but with both of those I think you will see the results you want.
