screwed up launch control after tune!

Hey guys very new to this forum but I have an evo 8 it's on e85 with supporting mods pretty much full bolt ons stock turbo. I got my car tuned yesterday at a shop and I told the tuner I'd like my rpms brought up a little because they were too low and I was barely building any boost. He said ok and he picked up the rpms and he asked me if I wanted anti lag I said no. But now sometimes when I use 2 step it sounds like anti lag (machine gun) and sometimes it's just normal like it should be (55 -5600 rpm) and pops like it did when it was stock and it builds 13-15psi (don't know if that's ok) so my question is wth did this guy do to my car to cause it to do that and is that psi build up ok? I can't just bring it back because it's a 4 hour drive. Thank you in advance

somebody correct me if I'm wrong but anti-lag is a whole set of mods on its own and not something you can tweak the Evo to do. And doesn't that murder turbos? It sounds cool but it kills turbos and unless you have your own co-driver reading pace notes, a helicopter, and a pit crew I wouldn't do it.

Just a side note: if your evo really is making boost like that at idle or in 2 step then you already have the real deal anti lag in there. Your exhaust parts are going to die soon.

supakizuna is correct! USDM doesn't have all the correct hardware to do Anti-Lag. All we have is Stationatry Rev Limiter. It will build some boost, but not as much/agressively as true Anti-Lag.

what was it tuned with? usually nlts or 2 step is a function/offset of top rev limiter. if you change the base you have to change the offset. but if your getting inconsistent responses check your clutch switch. vss signal can also have an effect.
