Hey guys I got pops and bangs working without als hardware with altering the ignition tables and retarding the timing. Although this only seemed to work for about 10 mins of good pops and bangs and flame when letting off throttle the question is anyone any idea how it had stopped?

 

I've done similar by retarding the timing in the low load areas of the timing map and it works great, silly but fun. Perhaps you got too aggressive with your adjustment and the ECU switched to a limp mode map?

 

the ecu can be in a fail safe map, ive seen back fire set off knock sensors
